PREMIUM ACCOMMODATIONS (chosen for quality, location,
atmosphere and service)

Hotels are not the main reason for traveling, but
we all know that wonderful accommodations can truly enhance your
traveling experience. They add immensely to the quality of the
overall journey and are often inseparable from the cultures and
places we visit. For this reason we spend a great deal of time
selecting our hotels, which are more often than not, the best in
any given locale. For Arcadia it's not just enough to stay in
the best hotels—where available we choose priority rooms or
specific rooms of preference. Because the tourism industry in
Myanmar evolves around the main tourist sites, the
accommodations at many other sites are not luxurious. We always
try to accommodate our clients at the finest possible hotels at
each destination. |

A romantic, colonial-style mansion dating from
the 1920s, The Governor's Residence is redolent of the days when
it was home to the ruler of Burma’s southern states. With its
fan-cooled verandas and teak armchairs, this delightful
Orient-Express hotel in the elegant Embassy Quarter of Yangon
(formerly Rangoon), conjures up a bygone era while offering
every modern pleasure.
Set in a verdant garden dotted with lotus pools, the hotel is
truly magical at the end of a day spent visiting the majestic
Shwedagon Pagoda. Dinner is served alfresco in the balmy evening
air by lantern-light, as tropical fragrances scent the breeze. |
